Surprise!

That’s what I heard today, shouted by friends and family as I walked into the front door of my house. The next two words were Happy and Birthday.

At least once in your life you should be the guest of honor at a surprise birthday party. Today was my day, and man was I surprised. My lovely wife concocted the entire affair and succeeded in keeping everyone mum until the minute I walked through that door. No small feat, given we have a 6 year old who loves to “spill the beans”. He didn’t, this time.

So, this explains my absence from the blog today. You see, I’ve been partying.
