North Korea: What If?
While all eyes are on Iran, trouble continues to brew on the Korean peninsula. The regime in Pyongyang has ratcheted up their rhetoric significantly in the last few weeks. The latest threat comes in the form of a missile pointed toward Hawaii. Allegedly, Kim Jong Il has plans to fire a Taepodong-2 with a range [...]
Happy Birthday Mr. President

The master of conservative orthodoxy passed away overnight in Stamford, Connecticut. There are many obits around the web today (and tributes too – Rush Limbaugh opened his show and has been talking about Bill for nearly 15 minutes now).
The man was respected by many. He singlehandedly imprinted conservative thought onto the brains of millions (mine [...]
Hey, Who Turned Out the Lights?
I wonder if a janitor accidently spilled coffee on a control board at a nuclear plant in Florida today?
After knocking almost 3 million people off the grid, officials found an equipment failure and fire at a substation in Miami. That, in turn, shut down the nuclear plant. While a lot of the power has been [...]
Today’s Read
Jim Geraghty.
Every aspiring Democratic president deemed “the next JFK” has revealed feet of clay — be it from scandal, domestic- or foreign-policy failures, a sense of opportunities squandered or great promise unfulfilled. In every instance, there was always a man behind the curtain whom it became impossible to ignore.
Could Barack Obama go on to be [...]
