Finally, Nagin Reaches the Acceptance Phase

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has finally made it to the final stage of grief – Acceptance. After the SHOCK of Katrina, the mayor spent the next few days in DENIAL that he had any role to play in the chaos that followed. His ANGER was well publicized as he sought the help of George W. Bush, BARGAINING with the president and the governor of Louisiana on how best to move relief efforts forward. A sort of DEPRESSION hung over his words in interviews he gave to the media after the feds mobilized and took control of New Orleans.

But today, Ray Nagin publicly acknowledges his ACCEPTANCE that New Orleans is not a federal responsibility

It takes a long as it takes, but eventually, we all get there.
