Just to Let You Know...

That’s how Rachelle Waterman started her last blog post on Thursday, November 18th. She has since been arrested on murder charges.

"Just to let everyone know, my mother was murdered I won't have computer acess [sic] until the weekend or so because the police took my computer to go through the hard drive. I thank everyone for their thoughts and e-mails, I hope to talk to you when I get my computer back." That's about the most chilling thing I have ever read. The post for October 9: "Well I just wanted to let everyone know I haven't been online or posting becuase I am grounded for getting an 89% on a math test, and I have computer restrictions because parental units found my wicca books." I guess there are some lines that parents shouldn't cross. Alaska does not have the death penalty.

I'll probably go to hell for this, but I think I'm already on my way. The title of her blog is about to get a little more apropos, don't you think?

Far more entertaining are the 5000+ comments that other LJ-er's have left on her post. I highly recommend them to others for their entertainment value alone!

Obviously heavily depressed if you look back through her entries. Alaska has an oddly high suicide rate for it's population precisely because some people have a hard time coping. And if she really is clinically deppressed than that didn't help either. My question is how she found two people stupid enough to do it.She'll probably cop an insanity by deppression plea if she was truly responsible.

Photos of the defendants can be seen here: http://pub31.bravenet.com/forum/2623947039/show/392710 Truly a bizarre story. Not at all surprised that LJ plays a role in the case, though. Cops have long relied on personal diaries to help convict killers; this is just the online version that we all get to read.

Depression isn't a basis for an insanity plea anywhere in the country. For about 20 years now (since Hinckley), the insanity defense has been extremely limited.

so much for the Water Farie (scroll down on her blog) I guess those online tests aren't as accurate as we thought. Very sad.
Yeah this was one of those cases everyone will be talking about in one form or another. It is disturbing because she was just the typical teenager, or that is how she carried herself to be. When her mother decided to send little Rachelle to fat camp, Little Rachelle snaps and decides to have mommy offed. There is one future for her right now and that is one where she is spending the rest of her life in an orange or blue jumpsuit and kissing her name goodbye. If anyone is in touch with Rachel, tell her to get used to her new name -- a fucking number.

If you were going to do something like this, wouldn't you have made it a private entry, or at least friends-only? >:/ If she couldn't even see that THAT was the thing to do, if she had to post something about it at all, then obviously she does have problems.
